There are numerous economical home improvements that will increase your home’s curb-appeal. Adding curb-appeal to your home will make it more attractive to potential buyers, if you ever decide to sell it, and it gives your dwelling a neat and tidy appearance. When choosing how to add immediate curb appeal, be sure that you take into consideration what your house looks like now and how you can add to what you already have. You cannot magically turn your home into a three floor mansion if it is a ranch style house! And why would you? In addition, think about the time required to complete your home-improvement project and what your budget is like.

Exterior RemodelingMake your Front Door, Shutters, and Trim Look Like New!
Most paint used for exterior purposes is reasonably priced. To paint your front door, shutters, and trim, it should cost you less than $100 for material. Painting your door and other trimmings on your home can add just the right amount of brilliance to revitalize your home’s appearance. Be sure to select an interesting, eye-catching color, and make certain it goes with the other colors on your home.

How about a New Mailbox?
It makes no difference if your mailbox is at the side of the road or mounted on your front porch. Adding a new mailbox will be a low-cost improvement and increase your home’s curb appeal as well. A new mailbox can cost very little, and if you are creative, you can create your very own custom designed mailbox at little cost. Just be careful that you adhere to the rules and regulations in your community. A home improvement project like this should not take more than an hour or two.

Have Fun with Interesting House Numbers
The house numbers on your home may be worn out or wearing out, if this is the case, buy new numbers and smarten up the curb appeal of your home. Check for contemporary house numbers made from aluminum, brass, or stainless steel. Fit your new house numbers with the finish of your outside light fixtures for the best effect. House numbers can cost as little as $2 and customized numbers can run up to $100 or less.
